JEANETTE McGRATH SHEEHAN
ARTIST BIO
| Jeanette McGrath Sheehan was born and reared in Chicago, Il.
Her early artistic influences were the
works of her paternal grandmother, a sculptor, maternal grandmother, a
painter and an uncle who was an architect/part-time painter.
After secondary school art classes, Sheehan enrolled in classes at
Chicago’s Art Institute.
Her art studies over the last l8 years include two “Images” workshops, Callaway Gardens, Ga. and painting workshops given by Barbara Nechis, Zoltan Szabo, Alex Powers, Janet Powers, Neil Watson, Sharon Carson, Leslie Frontz and Frank Covino. Sheehan also attended classes at the Charles Cecil Studios, Florence, Italy. Some memorable travels include trips to New Mexico,
Ireland, Italy, France, Spain and sailing in the Bahamas. They have been inspiration for many paintings. Jeanette now maintains a studio in her home in Pinehurst, N.C. |
